- The Bug with one player displayed multiple times is fixed
- A little image bottom right indicates the status (nice smiley -> fine , vicious circle arrows -> bad)

it would be nice to see at least the amount of online players...

Indeed very useful. I'm thinking about this and perhaps add this feature together with SvaRoX.

I get the data here: dswp_tools/svarox/whoswhere_flat.php (which is in fact the basis for Whoswhere). It is described by SvaRoX in the wiki here: http://dswp.de/old/wiki/doku.php/dswpbo ... linepeople. I already talked with SvaRoX about that, an xml-interface would be cool: a big xml-file with all current players, real time standings of the servers as well as Mumble and IRC users (I can suggest a structure but one of you has to implement that).
And that would not be only useful for Whoswhere and this Gadget... Mac OS X Desktop Widgets are very similar to my Gadget, so in case we have interested Macboys somebody could develop that (not by me, except you pay me a Mac).

@Bluescreensaver: Never thought that Micrososft would be so funny and publish this itself.

I'm not sure what the Blue Screensaver look like, but there's a screensaver called "BSOD" for Linux that displays various blue screens, kernel panics, sad Macs, etc. etc.

yes the gadgets for mac are build the same way, it's very likely that large parts (if not all parts) of the code can be re used.
Due to a lot of stress from all RL related parts in my life I can't yet say if and when I will have the time to look into it, but if you grant permission to re-use your code and images it shouldn't be that much work.
