Ye, that's a lot of water (and not sea water at that) and they have nothing to drink. I'm thinking about sending something myself too (ppl at my work are organizing for some aid to be sent the day after tomorrow). Edit: and, I hear they don't need money, they need drinking water and food. Also some blankets and stuff (many people lost the roof above their heads so nights must be cold). |

Pirat reminded me on some other news: "There are reports that landmines buried during the conflict and not yet removed are in some instances being shifted with the landslides, adding (to) the dangers of people living in the areas as well as rescuers," the Red Cross said." Good luck! |

I feel sorry for this... I am lucky because myself I dont live near of a river. Floods are not common here... biggest natural hazards here are fires during summer (not trully natural cause some idiots/maniacs love to see some forests in flames) and earthquakes... yes it is true this last one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisbon_earthquake Weather is just fucked up I think... last week I was enjoying 30ºC with clear sky during daylight, but now tomorrow it will be only 16ºC with rain... lol... I can't remember these weird oscilations on some other ocasion... even for my health is pretty bad... |
