hm, thats... they say tiger products at all are legal and/or accepted socially cause that tiger breeding. this acceptance in public enhance the hunting of wild tigers. 1.) tigers and humans ...dont go together for two reasons: - tigers eat humans. - humans eat land. big cats need alot square meters to be fed in the wild. 2.) tcm ...is a kind of medicine that bases on something like alchemist elements. imagine something like: "oh doctor my penis itches" "ok, show me your tounge. have some grinded alien penis and u be ok." alot different plants and animals are used for treatment, including tigers etc. this kind of thinking is the state of logic that ancient greek showed. time will heal this, not illeaglized commercial tigers. in my ethic opinion i think its better to eat a predator instead of veggie animals. anyways. eating meat dont make any sense since breeding needs 7 times the energy. so, one joule from meat is payed by 7 joules of wheat. now, lets breed a predator. and how much is 7 times 7? how can u cause so much pain included the 48 starved humanoids? eat moar tigers! |

I just like tigers. In my ethic opinion one should not eat anything that has self awareness - as that is what sets one animal group off from the "others". But that said I don't know if tigers are in that group - BUT they are awesome hence no kill tiger please. |

Although tigers occasionally kill humans, humans are not a regular part of tigers' menu. wurst wrote: - humans eat land. big cats need alot square meters to be fed in the wild. So do humans with their large agricultural and infrastructural areas. And industrial wastelands. And golf courses, of course. What miserable life it would be, if humans had no golf courses. wurst wrote: 2.) tcm [...] alot different plants and animals are used for treatment, including tigers etc. this kind of thinking is the state of logic that ancient greek showed. time will heal this, not illeaglized commercial tigers. By the time this phenomenon has been eradicated, the tigers will be eradicated, too. wurst wrote: in my ethic opinion i think its better to eat a predator instead of veggie animals. If there are no predators, the veggie animals will multiply in an uncontrolled manner. The same thing happens with humans, this planet's apex predators. I advocate a little more balance in interacting with our planet. But then again, you could also argue that every action that prolongs our civilization also prolongs the suffering of all living things, instead of just accepting the most likely inevitable demise of the human race (and maybe all living things on this planet) within the next 100 years or so. wurst wrote: anyways. eating meat dont make any sense since breeding needs 7 times the energy. so, one joule from meat is payed by 7 joules of wheat. now, lets breed a predator. and how much is 7 times 7? how can u cause so much pain included the 48 starved humanoids? The state of our world is not a problem of lack of resources, but of the distribution thereof. There are enough resources on this planet to feed all of us, and AFAIR, enough resources for the tenfold number of the current world population. wurst wrote: eat moar tigers! I hope your "house-tigers" tasted good. ;-) Although I cannot be a vegetarian or vegan currently (the only thing I do is eat a little less meat than a few years ago), I love animals and nature in general, and especially all feline and catlike creatures (like girls :-), so I would hate to see these fascinating beauties perish due to humans' greed and stupidity. But then again, I might be writing this because I'm controlled by toxoplasma gondii. %-) Pirat |

Tigers are quite vicious and not that very miezi (domestic cats usually do not eat us and often cuddle with us hence they are miezi). And afaik tigers aren't about to go extinct just yet. There are so many species being on the verge of extinction that we should save first. And if vegetarian animals start breeding all over the place we could easily eat the excess ones instead of tigers. As much as I was very horrified of this principle as a child, in this world you either eat or get eaten. If you too are horrified of that, just don't eat more than you need. Personally, I much prefer eating plants over eating animals and fungi and stuff. Feels more natural for me. As such I do not agree with tigers' diet very much. If only we could turn tigers into vegetarians, then I would be all for saving them. |

zietsh wrote: In my ethic opinion one should not eat anything that has self awareness Afaik cats aren't self-aware. At the very least they do not pass the mirror test. Cats often try to attack their own reflection.Cats also do not think in advance, they just go straight for what they want (hence so many funny and "funny" videos about them all over the Internet). But then again, many people are like that too (especially when drunk). |

Yeeeeeah right. ;-) Watch this vid @ Youtube (new Window) natirips wrote: And afaik tigers aren't about to go extinct just yet. They are "only" endangered, but I deem it a crime against miezicity to senselessly reduce their genetic variability and thus both their chance of survival as well as their well-being. natirips wrote: There are so many species being on the verge of extinction that we should save first. Here you go: Watch this vid @ Youtube (new Window) Save the miezis! In all seriousness: I fear you cannot discuss this topic meaningfully: If you're obsessed by miezis, then you'll do whatever it takes to protect them. And yes, I am fully aware of the fact that wild house cats have already exterminated quite a few species on this planet. But if miezi shows its belly to beg for belly rubs, you would even forgive it the extinction of all species. :-} Pirat, totally not controlled by an alien brain slug |

Thing is, if it is a vegetarian it won't try to eat me so I feel a bit safer around it. Sure a horse or a donkey might kick you big time, even a small kitten might scratch you if you tickle it's belly, but they won't do that if you're just calmly passing by 10 yards if front of them. Go and try calmly walking 10 yards in front of a (naturally) wild tiger as if you're just interested in those berries over there. |

Fun Fact: Tigers will usually stealthily run away as soon as they detect human presence. Same with lions. Life pro tip: In the unlikely event you meet a wild tiger face to face, don't run away. :-) Pirat. |
