Fun fact: Tiger's saliva is antiseptic and will greatily help healing wounds.

@natirips: Er. Um. Please tell me if the “death wish” part was remotely serious rather than in jest. Because, well, everything’s horrible enough already and I’d rather not go around telling depressed/suicidal people they should die, you know?

Wow what a discussion.

Seriously.
Cats are fightiest ones among mammals.
Look their bodies, no else animals have that power to weight ratio. Racing cars try to look like cats.
The price is small organs, so in general cats bodies are made for short explosive violence.
This means that a 100 Kg power Ranger couldn't defeat from a 25 Kg Lynx.
Humanoids are normally their food, this makes human instincts fear them.
A simple home cat hunts from -40 to +40 centigrade, no else living being is so hard.
Its sane to call them top predators.

When it comes to tiger cuddling:
Different cats show different behaviour.
Lions live in groups, tigers not so. Most cats love water, some dont.
Tigers and Home cats react very similar.

Among tigers u have very kind personalities just like with home cats.
Some of them never show claws, even when playing.
This Siegfried and Roy had such animals.
Nevertheless, when the audience was applausing, one of the tigers carried one of that gays away in order to protect him from the crowd.
Unfortunately the tiger carried the "owner" like a kitten, owner hardly survived and needed more then 40 operations.
Such can always happen with tigers: U be adopted one day, nothing bad...^^

Anyways.
Big cats struggle alot since humans spread out widely.
Wherever is streets and cars, cat population is endangered.
Its a simple cat flaw: They cant imagine that someone is faster then them. Then they get hit by car. By accident. Many animals suffer from that but cats most.

Specially male and big cats are problematic since they need much space.
Maybe check european tries to return lynx to the wild, problem are streets. A Lynx moves ca. 60-100 Km per day, hard to find a place without streets.
Anyways, it looks like in Harz mountains they succeed after 15 Years.
It should be connected to the local exploding racoon population, two GIs left back a miezi racoon couple in the 1940 after ww2.
Now (non-endemic but very cute) raccoons are the biggest lynx feeding program.

Im vegetarian so I just eat u guys foods food.
From an ethical view it would be worse to eat a tiger then a cow for me.
Eating predators makes the calorie ca. 50 times (!!!) more expensive to humans.
U say that humans have enough food and that distribution is the problem.
Cause media told you so.
I tell u: Stop eating animals and this planet will feed 15 billion humans. In 2016!
If we stop throwing away, we would even be able to feed more, specially 3rd world wastes much food.

But its not the key.
Social insurance, retirement payment and human rights bring the key.
And contraception is the key.
Then we have resources to give to everyone, till then were walking through dark ages.
Miau.

Fun fact: Cats and Dogs feel when ure seriously sick.
Cats would just walk away or even eat you when once ure dead.

I do indeed have genuine death with, but I am not suicidal. Suicide is a very selfish act. I mean, someone fed me and educated me, I feel obliged to at least return that. So no fears there.

The sad thing is though, I happed to be immortal so just waiting cca 60 years won't do the trick for me. And I empirically got to this conclusion the painful way. :(

I was kidding about tigers giving you medic in-game.

And I do not explicitly wish for death of any tigers, I just wouldn't miss them as much as I would miss, say, elephants or whales. But I still prefer felines over canines, mainly because they are so tidy. But I wouldn't put preserving tigers as my main priority. While I find tigers to be beautiful and majestic, I also find them equally terrifying. I am sorry if I was unclear before.

Aaaaand another country where tigers just went extinct:

Tigers declared extinct in Cambodia.

There are so many species being on the verge of extinction that we should save first.

Apart from the question if we should save animals (or plants) from extinction in general, it's admittedly no easy task to decide which animal or plant should be saved first. Which criteria should be checked? Size? Evolutionary age? Place in the food chain? Mieziness?

As I cannot supply an answer to this, I have to resort to my extremely biased gut and call "Save miezis first !!!11one".

If we were to look objectively, beings like bees that are a key element for so many other life forms should be at a high priority. I would dare say bees are far more important than us and tigers combined.

I mean: no bees => no tigers; No tigers =/> no bees.

And I think there are still a few tigers left in zoos. Besides, extinctions of minor species, miezi or otherwise, happened a lot in nature long before man was around to talk about it in online forums.

Btw, while looking up Wikipedia to see where we have most few tigers left, I came across this sentence: "However, tigers cause more human deaths through direct attack than any other wild mammal." I do believe that's an overstatement though. If I'm not mistaken, actual most human deaths caused by wild animals is by other humans.
