Anyhow, I managed to catch a console crash today in terminal output, although I have no idea how to copy text from xterm so here's a screenshot : Attachment: screenshot6.png [ 14.64 KiB | Viewed 3254 times ] Anyway, it "received" signal 11 (SEGV? // segmentation fault). Any ideas what do I do next? |

natirips wrote: I have no idea how to copy text from xterm Select the text + middle click Segfault is bad :/ Did it occur just after you typed /playerlist ? There are many possible causes, you could debug it with gdb but I guess it's not the best solution... You should try an other ioQ3 binary, did you test openarena finally ? Ok it's probably not due to the game itself but who knows... You also could try to play without sound for a while (I know it sucks), maybe your multiple sound system experiments are guilty, who knows "Segmentacijska greska", nice translation for segfault, never seen that "razno" stands for home ? |

"Segmentacijska greška" is literally "Segmentation fault" in Croatian. Playing without the sound results in less fun indeed, but with higher scores for some reason. I often listen to the sound, but if there's no sound I concentrate better on aiming. >_< I will try openarena's ioq3 tomorrow. And maybe w/o sound the day after that. I doubt it was compiled with debugging symbols, so gdb probably wouldn't help much, and I'm too lazy now to discover how it works... :} |
