Don't know what's going on with server, but I have terrible lags . To be more precise, fps lags. Ping is OK, but fps drops down to 13 and it's impossible to play. Even when server is not full, with only ~20 players. I try to play on Sexy's CTF server when it's full (32 players), but there's no this kind of problems. Why keep the server with 50 players, when all have lags? |

Ever since I set my fps limiter to 30 I had no fps drops. There is a zillion reasons why you could've had frame drops: a background update (check) in your computer, someone hooking up on your WLAN, your ISP having trouble, remote ISP being choked-up, any of the ISPs connecting your ISP to the serwer's ISP lagging, Wurst testing , many players with high ping, running into an area with many dead bodies and dropped items, badly hinted map, ... Sometimes the gameplay is just fine with 40+ people, sometimes it's all laggy with 7-8 people. It's like the weather. |

No background update, ADSL connection, so I guess no one's hooking . Even if someone hooked, I believe ping would be higher (I have ping between 50~60). As I sad, today when I got lags on wurst (few times), I went to sexy's with 32 people and all was OK. Also problems when changing maps ... it loads every map two times (suburbs is the worst ), sometimes get even disconnected from server with some sort of error I'll try to lower fps limiter, tnx for hint |

I have fps ddrops too on almost full server |

PingoSuSE wrote: I'll try to lower fps limiter, tnx for hint Actually, no matter how slow you computer may be getting less than 30fps is insane, it was not a hint, only me showing off my powerful computer that's capable of sustaining fixed 30fps. As for the "error", it's probably "Reliable command was cycled out", I get it all the time. Sometimes I /connect to dswp.de:22222 and I load one map twice, then another map twice (because the map changed in the meantime), then I get "reliable command was cycled out", then I /reconnect and load the map twice more before I can join. That is because UrT has terrible netcode (or so the rumors say) and because the serwer is running on Window$, so the community can't improve the OS no matter how much someone would want to. Even so, playing on WTS is fun. |
