Looks like you're good in chemistry. Beats me. All i learned from chemistry in 4 years i was learning it is part of periodic table.

hehe.
the holes must be veeeeeeery small.
optimal would be some naturally grown (like the little skin that suck so much on sunday breakfast egg)
mother nature serves the best semi-permeable membranes.
mother natures choice of materials just wouldnt fit to the sulfuric acid...

insulation would work with it, but energy must be able to flow (wursti said, didn't he?).
so that means some special kind of semi-permeable membrane is needed, isn't it?

Yeah, as I said you need a proton exchange membrane. You can't build such one with solid material and drill holes in there, not even with a laser, these holes need to be much smaller than that. I don't even know whether you could use a membrane with holes, you need a membrane with the characteristics of a lipid bilayer, but it must be impermeable to electrons and let protons pass through. You can only achieve that using bipolar polymers which assemble as a layer.

IDK, wursti, it's very difficult to build such a membrane, and they are trying to build one in laboratories around the world. I'd say you're wasting your time. :*)
