Post subject:  New mouse advices needed :)

I've just broken the mouse2 button on my old MX310. Since I use it to jump for 9 years, I don't want to bind jump on a key... so I need a new mouse =)
Any advice ?
Uncle and Zorn already recommended me MX1000 or Razer Krait, the G5 or DeathAdder seem cool too. In fact I don't really care about huge dpi sensor, my actual mouse had 800 and it was (almost) perfect. I just need a not very sensitive captor : I don't want to move up my mouse more than some millimeters to replace it, or else it takes too much time.
I'm afraid of changing my mouse, I use the same sensi from the beginning... almost 2 years :/
Thanks for your ideas.

I've got the Roccat Kone, nothing negativ to say (haptics, quality, dpi, button response, etc).
The weights (5-20g) and the TCU (Tracking Control Unit) are also very nice features.

I like the haptic alot, i'm not a Razerfan just by my hands anatomy.
If you can get your hand on it somewhere, test it :)

... ah yeah i forgot the ultra-übergamer lightning features fTW!"!!!11

comparing the gaming mices is mainly a question of the feeling when you play it, eh..

get a mouse with a good feel, with enough buttons you need (in case you need 3+).

getting the sens straight again is a matter of testing and calculation, except when you play with mouse acceleration somehow. if the latter is the case it is MOST likely you will never get your same sens again. but as dmmh said, you will get used to it, even if it may take some longer.

I got the MX 1000 for many years now and it just works. Even after many years the battery still lasts me at least 2 weeks despite of my daily use. 10+ hours a day, including gaming.

get a mx310?
its always hard to get used to another mouse.
viewed from this point of prespective, a logitech mouseman (standard optical mouse) would be great since when its broken u get the same.
unfoutionatly its a low res standard mouse, theres no else model that didnt change over 10 years.

for a gamer mouse my recommendation would be mx1000 too, i see how ana rox with that.
1 bad side is left: when the battery is dead, u cant find exchange easily, its a li-ion block. but ana has hers allready 4 years and theres still 1 day runtime left.
if u want to buy, check ebay for mx1000. i think its not produced anylonger.

I thought about buying the same mx310, but I would like a bit more accuracy, for example on firingrange I can't even aim at the center of farther targets because of small snaps...
Hmm seems a lot of you are using MX1000, I had the feeling that earlier cordless mice had latency issue, you changed my mind =) Too bad they don't ship it anymore, I don't want to wait by "ordering" on ebay :p And the new mx1100 looks weird.

Thanks all for your advices, I'm gonna have a look at these mice IRL now...

The actual successor to the MX 1000 is not the 1100 but the MX Revolution. The haptic is IMHO not as good as good as with the MX 1000 (it's a bit slimmer) yet still a good mouse with more accuracy than the 1000. Maybe you want to go for that one. My brother uses it, it's really not a bad piece of hardware, just people with big hands might prefer the MX 1000 :D

I still use an old mouse... a MS 1.1. I tried many of these new gaming mice, but i think they are so much sensitive for me.

Maybe my next mouse will be a MS 3.0, so i would kill Svarox more.
