But it's still a workaround that can be used for the time being.

I know that my forum sometimes says that I'm not logged in if I spend too much time composing the message, but it can be cured by reloading. And unfortunately, I can't peek into files there because it's some free forum literary made in but a few clicks and in less than 5 minute.

If I'm not too late, I'd recommend the STEELSERIES IKARI. Very very nice mouse, works without driver, dpi-adjustment via scrollwheel and built-in mini-LCD. I gave my Roccat Kone back after 2 days, couldn't get used to it plus the buttons were too hard, now I'm very satisfied with the Ikari (Laser). Had an MX 518 before, I think this one is very similar from its feel.

@dmmh: Judging from what I saw yesterday over Aimme's shoulder, he's doing fine with the new mouse.

Maybe my next mouse will be a MS 3.0, so i would kill Svarox more.

Grrr !

Epilogue :
I went to a big computer shop, there were a lot of mice I could try. In fact I handle the mouse with fingertips, so most of the mice where too big for me, like logitech G5 and some Razer too. Mice like lachesis were too expensive, I couldn't test the roccat, so finally I bought a logitech G9. Its shape looks weird, but it fits perfectly into my hand, linux-compatible, not so high lift-off distance...
Back to home, I set the sensi to match the old one (about 12.5 cm / 360). Only thing is, like Steve said, this mouse have hardware acceleration so I'm not able to find the very same feeling. The mouse is a lot more accurate when moved slowly so it's no big deal for far aiming, but for fast movements it's different because of the accel, so I suck at strafe/jumps now =)
The war yesterday was a cool test, I thing I'm beginning to love it :)

That's why I only buy cheapest mice to make sure they are as primitive as possible so there's no such unwanted surprises.
:D

really? i though 70 euro is not too much for a mouse fitting my hand. i was also testing roccot one but i didnt like thetousands of unreachable buttons :D

i think G9 is not a bad choise. now that you suck in close quarter fights i might have a chance to improve my statistics against you :D

i know wurst will kill me but i switched from MX1000

you can disable mouse acceleration ;)

/cl_mouseaccel 0

also try the OS's mouse control panel to disable it overall
