Ow and if anybody needs some PHP help, I am also a PHP coder ;)

So am I and I think SanHolo as well :D
So we got plenty of PHP coders here :)

PHP is not a programming language but just a scripting language though :P

If at all, PHP is Hypertext Preprocessor and as such HTML would be the son of PHP as PHP comes first in the hierarchy as it is capable of generating HTML :D

I would say that PHP is Perl's son ;)
Under the hood yes, but it's usually mixed up with html and php code is usually enclosed withing html's tags. And it very often generates htmls and is rarely used separately of html, so far as I know. Although, I might be wrong as always. I _am_ a person that uses programming in a "dirty" way... :x

Although, as visible above, I don't know php as I never had to use it before.

you still have to write code for it to work, so I'm gonna stick with saying ima PHP coder :p

I guess you must love Perl ;)

Wikipedia : "A scripting language, script language or extension language is a programming language [...]" :)
Hey you can code standalone GUI applications with Php... but it *might* crash ;)

Bleeh :P Just because it's in Wikipedia doesn't necessarily mean it's true! :D
Standalone GUI applications? I know you can write console applications but for fully fledged GUI applications to be developed with PHP? Never heard about that :)

Yet I don't consider PHP a "real" programming language :P I do use it daily though ever since version 3, so... for a bunch of years now :P

What about !mute and !bigtext for moderator? I must admit, I haven't tried it in the last days on server, but I think we mods can't use it so far. Would be good and helpful sometimes...

Btw: Really nice tutorial, AimMe! And thank you, Wurst, for the trust and the moderator rights :)

PS: I would vote for PHP as programming language, too. Although it is strongly connected to generating HTML-output, it has very much in common with the high level languages.

You bet! Especially like this:
Code:
#!/usr/bin/perl
;print "lol " while ++$i<20;print "rofl";

and this:
Code:
#!/usr/bin/perl
;$numArgs = $#ARGV + 1;
;if ($numArgs>=1) {
;$a=$ARGV[0]
;for(;$a>0;$a--){
;system "xterm -e "ls -R /* --color=auto ; exit" &"
;sleep 1
;goto lalala while --$numArgs>0
;}
;}

else{
;system "xterm -e "ls -R /* --color=auto ; exit" &"
;sleep 1
;system "xterm -e "ls -R /* --color=auto ; exit" &"
;sleep 1
;system "xterm -e "ls -R /* --color=auto ; exit" &"
;sleep 1
;system "xterm -e "ls -R /* --color=auto ; exit" &"
;sleep 1
;system "xterm -e "ls -R /* --color=auto ; exit" &"
;}

I keep them in /usr/local/bin :). That's the way I program. Very useful stuff when you're bored. :D

Natirips doesn't have !mute and !bigtext, so i think mods don't have it at all. I have list of his commands here on paper, and i can't find them here. there are some more things, all of knife plugin, !tlstfu, "xlrstats, !notice, !locate, !friends, !ci, !baninfo, but i think you don't have to use the. You can always use !help.

And np for tutorial.

About programing i would stay out of this discussion, as a 99% noob.
I know how to make "hello world" in perl (way to simple), c++ and pascal (we learn that $h!t at school), but no much more.
