Just in case someone wants a different font or font attribute for game and chat messages in UrT, today I found out that it's possible (with a few disadvantages, though): { excerpt from http://forums.urbanterror.info/topic/244-urbanterror-ui-font-sizes/page__p__300361#entry300361 } [...] there is one feature of Mitsubishi's optimized executable that could mitigate the problem: Unicode support. It doesn't replace any of the UI fonts, but you can configure it so that it shows game and chat messages (Unicode_ChatOutput 1, Unicode_ConsoleOutput 1), then you set cg_msgHeight and cg_chatHeight to 0 and adjust ------ snip ------ Unicode_Font Unicode_FontSize Unicode_PositionX Unicode_PositionY Unicode_LineSpace Unicode_LineSize Unicode_Color Unicode_Shadow Unicode_MessageTime Unicode_MessageFadeTime Unicode_Alpha ------ snip ------ to your liking. What good is unicode support if many other players don't have it. I smell possible problems when you type some 日本語 into chat and others see buggy undecipherable text even if they could read the language written on the paper. |

This phenomenon exists for quite some time now, I've seen a lot of messages with German umlauts replaced by ".". -- Posted using postdemo 0.0.9.11wip |
