(I'm not sure if this should be here or in the The Charme of an UrT Player)

Anyway, big buttons ftw! Visibility is also great. And very little (only a few) useless features.

Teh MyPhone 1070 :) .

And the best part is: I finally got my hands on it! :D

How many apps does it have?

How many what?

It's a (mobile) phone, not a multi-function device nor a pocket computer. Though it has some useless functions like the SOS button at the back, a calculator, the radio, and that sums up all the useless* functions. *Useless to me.

As for useful functions: calls, SMS, alarm, clock, address book, light (a white LED), vibration, headphones.

As per design, I love it. I have it for 3-4 days by now and I still didn't need to charge the battery (the battery was packed with enough power to hold until now (though it's technically "empty" all the time and it complains how the battery is about to run out)). Also the monochromatic LCD's visibility is as good as it can get. I also love the big buttons. I like how it locks the keys using a switch at the side rather than using the keys themselves. The white LED is also controlled by a switch at the side so it doesn't need menu navigation to activate.

The only design flaw I found (so far) is the lack of the ability to turn off the sound. I still haven't tested if the sound is turned off when I plug the headphones (AimMe can be one elusive person, sometimes almost as much as SvaRoX's face can be).

How do you pick those buttons? Using a needle like the iPod-like users?

Here it's called "mobilni telefon za osobe sa posebnim potrebama", which roughly translates to "a mobile phone for people with special needs", and it generally refers to half-deaf, visually-impaired, etc. people. Also, it obviously refers to me as well: a mentally impaired person. :D

After all, for all those advanced functions you have the computer, right?

Oh, and I usually spend 50kn=€6.75 per each three months. Else, they would block my outgoing calls and SMSes, and eventually the SIM card itself.

Well basically i only make calls, thank God buttons used to access the menu and phonebook are normal.
I think I've sent a total of...2 text messages in a year since i bought it, and they were both under 30 characters long.

This thing looks (and sounds) an awful lot like the Seeniortelefon sold over here:

My mother bought one of these for her parents (they're over eighty). I wouldn't use it myself, because you can't mute the damn thing and the sounds it makes are rather annoying.

Of course, I'm not really picky when it comes to cellphones -- I'm the third owner of a well-worn Nokia 6310. Its screen is bad (it has gray stripes on it), most of the silver paint has worn off, and it's beginning to break apart. In other words, good enough.

Nyah nyah nyah, less than €3.5 per six months (prepaid plan), and you still have a seventh month you can only receive calls. I still have serious troubles spending all this... right now I've got €6.39 left on my account:-P Common usage consists of renewing my checkout period at the library and answering my mother's questions (like, "what's an 'e-mail client' and if that thing's a client, what am I?").

Honestly i wish i could find this phone. It was my very first cell phone i got for my birthday and i would replace this fancy-super-gay-i-got-a-load-of-crap-you-will-never-use Sony for that old ass sagem in a hearth beat.
