Hehe. Those stickers came into being when I started creating Estonian
Dvorak layout (
there’s one that comes with the most-used Linuxen, but it’s just an US Dvorak with few additional characters on third and fourth level). The simplest way to keep in mind what’s where was to write the characters to bits of paper and glue them onto the keys. When the layout changed, I moved the stickers; when I added or changed the special characters, I replaced the stickers…

I stopped using Dvorak, though (it’s a real pain in the ass to use other computers), but retained some of the customization — most notably the
French-esque number row), and, for example, instead of tilde I have per cent key (M-% FTW!). Right now, my keyboard still looks the same as seen on the picture, with the exception of squeaky-clean WASD keys:-P
(Also note the YELL LOCK key;-))
