I've looked like this for the last fifteen years or so.

It all started out so innocently. There I was, a six-year-old boy who liked running around outside (and, foreshadowing years to come, suffered wanton violence from his peers). Then my mother realized that I was going to go to school next year, but had no clue about reading and writing. I fought back with tooth and nail, but being a rather smart kid, some of her teaching rubbed off on me... Once I was able to spell out words, I found out there were quite interesting things in books, and the rest is history.
