It’s the state from immediately before the switch; the file hasn’t been updated since.

[20:49] <Souljah> some new problems on tdm.....the map "train" disapeared.....only the old version there,but not downloadable :D
[20:51] <Souljah> tso everytime the cycle changed to train the server is empty...just a few guys have the old one :D
So that is why train didn't last long.

This evening I connected, had a smile on my face when I saw old train loading, then map changes the moment it loads, then we play uptown, then comes train again and just as the round begins, my dad wants something from me, I come back to my computer and casa is being played. :cry:

(just thought I'd share this dramatic experience)

pirat address that issue, its strange that there is something missing on the download server.
cause that didnt change, its a separate NIC and cable (since the sometimes required 300Mbit lag the gameservers...)

However, gameservers q3ut4 directories are still not reachable the old way
(permanent mount in 9.7 www-server)
its since smbfs will be exchanged with sshfs, im having stress with the work and some guest at home so i cant access my computer all the time.

So ye this lag thing on the server(s) isn't going away on it's own. And you have stress and are busy busy and we will be patient.
That's the short story, right? :)

Question: could somebody explain the pc-dyslexic (me) what is causing the lag? (if that is not to much trouble)

since i dont have lags while in vpn, it could be a routing problem...i guess...

Could be caused by the 64-bit dedicated server.
Maybe we'll switch back to 32 bits again.

Just don't have the nerves currently. :-}

64 sucker sounds good.

i only noticed that the pings went up after 1,2 days after the server was powered up...in the first days i had a normal ping, about ~12.
next time i joined and the problem was mentioned here it went up to ~52? - even via vpn :cry:

maybe someone could compile a 32-bit version and upload it interna?

is there a ut_train and the ut4_train_dl1 on the web server? too lazy to check right now.
on gameserver they are, so !snmap train should set nmap to ut_train - don't know, if you realy wanted to play that version?

Done. I copied it to the 2222* directories.

Don't forget to adapt your python scripts, they have the binary
name hardcoded. *slap* *slap* ;-)

the connection is terrible. i lag like hell. ping around 88.

then i connected to vpn. no lags whatsoever, ping dropped to 30-40.
could the 64bit binary really be the culprit?

let's hope so ;)
just noticed a 20% cpu usage from the tdm server, wich seemed way to much, imo :?: and the mentioned high pings..

the only python i can handle can't be found on virtual spaces :P
nah, just exchanged ".x86_64" with ".i386" in one tiny line in a php script;
pings should be normal again, but let's see if they won't fuck up again in some days..
---
the mapvotemachine wasn't able to upload new cycles this morning cause of missing ftp access (also the reason why the ajax server monitor is showing 1337 things).

// sidenote
am i wrong or is the forum time not synced right? i use utc +1 in here, but i miss one hour on forumposts...like i post @ 12 o'clock and it shows me 11 °_°
maybe just summertime..
