Game types


0 - F - FFA
1
2
3 - T - TDM (team death match)
4 - S - TS
5 - L - FTL (follow the leader)
6 - H - C&H (capture & hold)
7 - C - CTF
8 - B - bomb

A map is defined as working for mode X, if it has at least 45 spawnpoints for mode X. The number of spawn points can be checked like this:

Example Map Entry

This (partially) ficticious example map entry contains most of the possible data. Most things should be self-explanatory.

  • Sizes for “Map Size” are: small, medium, large. If you can't decide, take “medium”.
  • Please sort maps (within a section) strictly alphabetically!
  • Add a data in YYYY-MM-DD form to each of your notes, if possible.
  • Add your name (nickname or whatever) to each of your notes, if possible.
  • To cycle out means that a client disconnects, leaving the frustrated player with the message “a reliable command was cycled out”.
  • Although camping is a matter of taste, the property “campy” should appear on the “Cons:” side of a map (as is mostly frowned upon on this server, except for very few maps (maybe Ramelle, Eagle, Riyadh).
  • If there are properties that are neither clearly pro or con, add them to the “Notes:” section and higlight them with boldface.

  • speed-optimized, nearly no complaints about frame drops

  • introduces minor texture errors in ut4_ramelle

  • narrow corridors lead to blocking
  • players can get stuck on the 3 ladders
Notes:
Pirat: This map is nice. It provides very fast-paced action due to the complex and narrow system of passageways and the relatively small size of the map.

Nearly no frame drops with 41 players (AMD64 3.4 GHz / Nvidia 9800GT). (2011-12-xx)

havoc: I don't like it, because I experience massive framedrops with it (386SX-16 / CGA). (2012-01-27)

- unbalanced map, blue is stronger (roof?)
