Ah I think you mean freebies. Those are people which are on the choose team menu, so its not 'real' spec. They are the same as all players in FFA.

I can't really say if it's that, since I've seen this in several occassions and none of those specs actually joined the game for like another 5 minutes or so. But there is a trick that allows you to kill people from specs so maybe those two things are related.

I've killed people like that. It may be due the lag too, when player pressed exit, but game still didn't remove him, you kill player who isn't connected at all. Or if he's choosing team, or going to spectators, you can sometimes catch him before he switches team.

theres no advice about checking hit ratio, it helps very often with detecting cheaters

for me everything over 30% is suspicious

(depends on gun AK =/= g36; map {distances}; and ping of a guy {aimbot + 200ms + AK = less than 30%} )


about AUTOSHOT
i think its more common than Steve said, but its very hard to prove
i spot them twice but im 100% sure a one time, when guy done fast turning, and in half way he hit very hard to see oponent,

second is guy banned by me when i got rcon on CTF server, to be honest is my most uncertain ban ever.
when i check 1st time, guy with 16:1 stats had 42% hits with lr300
still got demo

Keep in mind that autoshoot is harder to spot if players ping is higher (above 150).
The cheat shoots before the crosshair is on the target and it can even miss, so always take ping in consideration.

Well actually despite the fact you just heard about autoshoot, you've seen it a hundred times.
99% of all aimboters you've speced were using autoshoot.
Aimbot or autoaim just aims at the target, but autoshoot squeezes the trigger for you. Separate those 2 and you have one dumb easy to spot cheat, and one that is quite hard to spot if you don't have much experience with them.
I know some admins that banned pro player cause they were sure they're using autoshoot.

but now that u people mentioned this autoshoot.. it reminds me of a player that got banned and then revoked again for aimbot which i think was called 'NL' and if i rmember the demo that very much fitted the description
