today i liked to play return to castle wolfenstein:
i saw the console, the game started up and wuhu it hang up like urt. i tried wolfenstein:ET too but the same Sh1t happened:P

so now could may just anyone who knows what the problem could be please help me`?

Hey that sound really interesting, too bad I don't play on windows :/ Source are released, maybe some guys will port that...

All these games are OpenGL-based games, I think you should :
- run a DirectX game and see if it works
- update your graphic card driver
- pray =)

iKalizer is promised to be ported to *nix platforms as well (with the next version or so, not ETA AFAIK)

Did you upgrade your video card driver? Maybe try a newer/older version, M$ comes with some directx emulation stuff that makes things work, but no opengl support by default.

I don't think it's an openGL issue. If it was that game most likely wouldnt start at all and he would see an open gl error message.

ok i installed the latest nvidia driver and now i had to restart urt only 1 time until i could play......i tried directx games andother games like cod4/5 far cry 2 all parts of battlefield css and so on nd they worked fine. only the opengl games are even worrying me.........is there just anyone who knows why the h3ll they arent (or werent ) working?
what could cause this problem?

somewhere along the way your opengl-drivers got fucked/lost.... a reinstall should do?
