Perhaps go back to 32 slots on TDM (or a bit more like 35), but leave a few private slots for admins, so that they dont have to wait to get into the game, because they are important (for kicking, slapping...).

Are moderators also allowed to use the private slots? If yes, I would like to have the password via PM. If not no problem, waiting can also be nice (Vorfreude, schönste Freude... )

UFF|Frag told me about about some skills based CS server mod, to let good people play between them and beginners play between them. TKs and blocking are mostly an issue when you play with "beginners"... As he said, imagine we run two 16 slots servers, restricted to players thanks to xlrstats skills : one for skills under 1500 (or maybe 1700 :)), one for skills above. Once your skills reaches the threshold, you can still connect to the "best players" server, no matter if you loose skill afterward.
I know that practically it's really far from what we have know, and we wouldn't certainly have as many people as the actual 32+ slots TDM server, but I like this idea.

in that case, 1500 would be better I think, 1700 is really setting the bar high for people with skill 1650, of which there are a lot. Real newbs are < 1500.

From my experience those that have rather high skills are easily above 1600. I managed not to fall below 1600 even with knife only on the server and ratios of 1:2 or 1:3 at times. I don't play to have good stats and still stay above 1600 at all times and everyone agrees, I'm by far not one of the best on our server. So maybe 1550 or 1600 would be better than 1500. I agree though that 1700 is a little hard, I'd have to focus on my stats to constantly stay above 1700.

Knife multiplier isn't high enough to give you skill points because you die too much ;)
Yes 1500 is nice, or maybe 1600. According to xlrstats calculations, a 1600 skill points is supposed to have 9/10 probability to kill a noob (1000 skill points)...

As I said imho, once you get the skill points threshold you would be an elite for ever, so you won't play with beginners anymore :)

Better 1500, since i have 1660 :D
Still, i don't like idea of splitting noobs and pros. Why? If somebody had skill 1490, he plays at noob server. Now, he had skill 1490 while playing vs noobs AND pros, and he'll pwn noobs so much, and get skill over 1550 very quickly.
And somebody who had skill 1510 while playing against pros AND noobs, will have no chance against only pros, and his skill will quickly go below 1450.

Another problem, if you're in weak group, you would never get your skill better, since there's nothing to learn from noobs.

And one more thing: We would have all admins and over 10 mods at pro server, and maybe 3 mods on noob server. And I'm sure noob server needs more administration. Probably admins could go on any server, but still, it ain't fair if (just for example) i and dmmh would go to noob server and knife them all and get all records, while svarox and slicey or xsmeagol do stupid tries on pro server.

Thats not right at all. I played yesterday with xtj7 on 3 or 4 maps knife only. and i get with nearly 1.00 Ratio nearly 100 Skillpoints plus. So the multiplier is high enough to give you some skillpoints even if you kill noobs.
